Your Mental Health and Stress

Be Honest About Your Mental Health.  It’s OK not to be OK! One of the hardest questions to answer when you’re not feeling great is “How are you?”. It’s  too easy to brush off what’s going on with you and reply “Oh, I’m fine. You?”. You’re supposed to be happy, correct? In this video I talk about how conditioning yourself to accept the new “polite” model…can help you get control of your stress.

Hello, I’m The Stress Master,

My name is Ches Moulton.

If you get value from this video…please Give it a “thumbs Up”…and if you’re new here…subscribe to the channel…leave a comment… and please…remember to click the bell so you’ll know when I post more videos designed to help you get control of your stress. Once and for all.

What happens when you’re having a bad day, week or month? When you say things are “Fine” and they are not, you continue the negative cultural avoidance of talking about your mental health.

When you say you’re ok, but you aren’t;

A. You abandon your “self”. By saying “I’m fine” you’re saying that what you really feel (who you are in that moment) is not important enough to say out loud or have someone be a witness too.

B. You remove the opportunity to build connection and receive support….and you might be surprised how relevant that might be to the other person.

C. You maintain the cultural expectation of not “complaining”, and emotional health must not be discussed…which in this day and age is becoming a bit passè.

This makes it difficult for others to share what’s going on with them – and the cultural expectation of OK-ness continues.

D. When you answer someones query about your well-being…do you say Not Bad or Pretty Good. Not bad…there’s two negative words in a row…Not and Bad…however Pretty Good are two positive words in a row.

Please…train yourself to take the positive side of the equation here …it will help bring down those elevated levels of stress.

The intention is to help people become more open about how they really feel. Be the person in the conversation to start the ball rolling and be honest without being to revealing…the honesty and support you receive will do wonders to help you get control of your stress.

If you’d like to discuss how I can help you, contact me today and arrange a discovery session.

Additionally, if you need a speaker for one of your events, then send me an email at ches@timhwb.org

Here’s to mastering your stress.
