Our confidence is connected to the view we have of ourself and how others perceive us.
In this video I’m going to list the four abilities you and others must have confidence in and talk about the impact how others perceive you and most importantly, how you perceive yourself…can affect your level of stress.

Our ability to install within us a positive sense of self is paramount to our success in our professional and personal endeavours which has a knock-on effect that impacts our level of stress.
Self-confidence is defined as a feeling of trust in one’s abilities, qualities, and judgment. Many people believe that self-confidence can be attained through the use of affirmations and acquiring a positive mindset. While there may be some truth in this approach it’s important to build self-confidence through the acquisition and demonstration of certain skills. There are a number of skills that contribute to building and maintaining confidence in oneself.
- Confidence in the ability to execute certain physical skills.
- Confidence in the ability to apply psychological skills.
- Confidence in the ability to use perceptual skills such as making decisions and adjustments.
- Confidence in the ability to learn new methods in pursuit of improving skill levels.
It is a mistaken belief to presume that confidence is something an individual is born with. Confidence is attained through the belief in one’s own abilities and the input from others.
