How We Support Government and Policy Partners
Our role is to provide independent, evidence-informed input that strengthens governance and organisational practice. Engagement is collaborative, proportionate, and aligned with public-sector responsibilities and constraints.
1. How does the Institute support public-sector organisations and government bodies?
The Institute works with government ministries, agencies, and public-sector employers to strengthen approaches to workplace mental health, psychosocial risk management, and employee well-being.
Our support includes policy advisory services, risk and practice reviews, leadership development, and guidance on implementation that is appropriate to public-sector environments, resources, and responsibilities.
2. Are your services aligned with recognised standards and good practice?
Yes. Our work is informed by recognised national and international standards, relevant legislation, and established good practice in occupational health, mental health, and psychosocial risk management.
We support organisations to interpret these requirements in a practical way, ensuring they are proportionate, achievable, and relevant to their specific context.
3. Do you provide independent or objective input for reviews, audits, or policy development?
Yes. We are frequently engaged to provide independent insight, critical review, and expert input to inform policy development, programme design, and organisational decision-making.
Our role is to support clarity, rigour, and informed judgement, rather than to promote pre-determined solutions.
4. Can your work support compliance, governance, and risk management objectives?
Our services are designed to complement existing governance, compliance, and risk management frameworks.
We help organisations identify psychosocial risks, assess current controls, and strengthen systems, policies, and leadership practices in a way that supports accountability and sustainable improvement.
5. How do you work with organisations at different stages of readiness or capacity?
We recognise that organisations vary widely in terms of maturity, resources, and readiness for change.
Our approach is collaborative and staged, allowing organisations to prioritise actions, build internal capability, and progress at a pace that reflects operational realities and strategic priorities.
Discuss Public-Sector Engagement
We welcome discussions with ministries, agencies, and public-sector organisations exploring structured approaches to workplace mental health and psychosocial risk governance.
