Strategic goal setting often allows you to achieve your goals fast. However if you don’t have balanced goals other areas in your life may suffer.
In this video I share how to have balanced goals in order to have a balanced life with manageable levels of stress.

Evaluate how the achievement of your goals will affect your family, social life, career, economy, your community and your health.
You can often combine goals for faster achievement, and also balance them by integrating speed and balance. Let’s assume one of your goals is to exercise more, but your busy work schedule doesn’t allow you to do so. As a result, you need to cut down quality time with your family to achieve your goal. You could, for example, spend your quality time with your loved ones AND exercise by taking part in joined activities, like going for a hike, swimming or cycling.
Another way of balancing your goals is to chunk big goals into smaller ones, which in turn will also help you to stay motivated, as you can reach the smaller finish lines faster.
Lastly, try to look at the bigger picture; How relevant, important and achievable are your individual goals in your present and future? Are you trying to achieve a certain goal not for yourself, but for others?
Effective planning and goal setting will have a knock-on affect and help you to get control of your stress.
